About Us
MEET HEIDI

Hi, I’m Heidi Ryan.
I’m an Autistic, neurodivergent speech pathologist, disability advocate, and lived-experience professional. I work with people across the lifespan, with a particular focus on supporting teens and young adults navigating identity, communication, and everyday life.
I also bring the perspective of being part of a neurodivergent family. This lived experience informs everything I do — from the way I connect with clients, to how I design and deliver support.
My qualifications span speech pathology, disability, and youth mentoring. I’ve also volunteered with the Home Education Network in Australia, and worked alongside families navigating education, advocacy, and inclusion.

The Whole Village Philosophy
The name Whole Village reflects our belief that meaningful support doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires understanding the whole person — their relationships, environments, and communities.
We affirm all forms of communication and all kinds of minds. We take intersectionality seriously, acknowledging how disability, race, gender, sexuality, and family structure shape people’s experiences and support needs.
Our work is grounded in empowerment, autonomy, and wholistic care. We’re here to create spaces where people feel safe, heard, and respected.
